BRS is a government organisation providing advice to government on a range of issues. From this advice BRS create a range of reports and publications available to the general public to purchase and for free. This online shop provides access to all our publications that are currently in print. If you can not find a publication that you are looking for, please visit our departmental site.

Paper publications


BRS produces a number of reports and publications for release to those interested in specific issues. Some of these are for sale and others are free. In both instances, you find the publication, add it to your shopping cart and on the way out, complete the registration information and payment details (as appropriate) and you will receive the publications in the post.

Free electronic publications

BRS produces a number of publications electronically that are available free. They are generally available as PDF or MS Word format. For those products all you need to do is select the button to download.

Areas of Interest – Free updates

BRS produces a number of reports covering a wide variety of subjects relating to rural sciences. They include issues such as climate, forestry, fisheries and social sciences, to name a few. If you would like to receive emails notifying you of new reports and releases in particular areas of interest to you, register and tick the areas of interest. You can change your preferences at any time.
